8 Things You Need to Know Before You Go Trekking.
Whether you are planning an epic journey or just a walk through the Woods, keep these things in mind.
1) Never hike alone: You need to have a partner or a guide in case You have an accident.
2) Always look at the weather forecast ahead o of time and wear Layers that you can remove as you’re hiking.
3) Test your gear: If you don't know how something works, it's Useless. Do a trial run on everything, from the fire stick to your pack
4) Share your plans: Tell people what trailhead you're starting at and what time you'll return “especially if hiking alone” so a friend knows where to send help if you're not back on time. ( Better to go with a good guide if you are a first-time trekker.)
5) Stock up on food and Water: It is a very precious thing to have on any hiking or trekking trip. When you are hiking, your body dehydrates, but most times, due to cold or cool temperatures, you do not realize you are sweating. Hence, sipping water from your bottle and have a portion of food frequently will keep you hydrated.
6) Day pack or Backpack – Travel Light & Organized: A good day pack or a backpack always helps you keep your things well organized on any hike or a trek. There is a wide variety of backpacks available. Don’t use some cheap quality backpack it will be burning your money so it’s better to Investing one time in a good backpack or a day pack.
7) Trek Route or Map: Don’t get lost You should always keep a hard copy of the map of your trekking trail or route. ( If you are going with an experienced guide it’s not mandatory)
8) Medical Kit or First-aid Kit: Better to carry a basic medical kit with creams for burns, bruises, antiseptic lotions, bandages, band-aids.
